Indian TV shows have been surrounded with some popular cross-dressing characters like punky Palak, girly Gutthi and drunk Dadi. However, even though they are so popular, their families don’t take cross-dressing in a positive way. See how their situation at home is:
Ali Asgar’s kids are so embarrassed!
Ali Asgar has played the role of a woman in many shows. He says that his kids feel embarrassed as wherever they go, fans start addressing him as ‘Dadi’. In school too, the kids have to hear from their friends dialogues like ‘iska baap toh Basanti hai’. However, Ali has tried explaining his child that it is a part of work and he has to do this. Although Dadi’s character has increased his popularity, in front of kids, it is quite disappointing.
Sunil Grover says his son is against his ‘Gutthi’ role!
His 6 year old son says that the role his dad plays is quite ajeeb. His friends tell him “tere Papa toh ladki bante hai”. Later to make him realize something, he took him to the mall and showed him how his fans were crazy for clicking photos with him. He felt quite happy to see his father’s popularity. Now, his son has accepted this role happily.
Vishwajeet Pradhan had to convince his children
Vishwajeet Pradhan says it was tough to convince his children about his eunuch role in Ek Boond Ishq. His daughter is quite attached to him and even today, if anyone beats him hard, she starts crying, thinking it is real. So, he had to sit with children and explain that it is merely a role.
Krushna doesn’t like playing a cross-dresser often
Krushna says that he purposely doesn’t play a cross-dresser in the show because he feels quite embarrassed. He just did 1 episode with John Abraham where he dressed up as drag. He has decided that he would play a woman only 1 time in 3 weeks and not more. He wants people to recognize him as Krushna and not any woman.
Kiku’s Kids are too shy when it comes to Palak
The actor who is affected the most is Kiku Sharda who plays the role of Palak. He says that his kids are quite shy to hug Palak. The kids feel that Palak is some relative of him and think of her as an embarrassing, aggressive and loud aunt. However, Kiku says that the kids are quite proud of his role.
Siddharth Sagar is all cool with this cross-dressing
Siddharth plays the role of Mausi in Comedy Circus and says that he is perfectly fine with this embarrassment that is faced in public. He says that cross-dressing has become a popular trend and has good scope for comedians. His family too loves seeing him as a woman.
Gaurav Gera is too confused!
He is seen playing a woman in the Dubsmash videos. He was seen in Pammi Pyarelal as a woman. Earlier he was worried about the reaction of his family, but when promos were seen, he couldn’t explain them. However, his parents and cousins are proud of him.
So guys what do you think of them?
