Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister made a Twitter announcement on Tuesday early morning that Sister Sally, who was reported missing after an attack at Yemen’s old age home, has been evacuated. This old age home is run in Aden by the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Charity and Sally was the mother superior here.

Earlier too, the minister had given assurance of Sally’s evacuation. On 4th of March, 3 gunmen had attacked this old age home in Aden, killing 16 people, which included 4 Christian nuns from India, say residents and local officials.

The home was attacked by gunmen with rifles, after which they opened fire. Apart from nuns, a guard and 2 Yemeni women who worked at the facility were also killed. Finally, here is Sushma Swaraj’s status at 3.34 A.M. that Sally was evacuated when the whole world was sleeping.
