Movies on real-life incidents seem to be the buzz of Bollywood nowadays. Just recently Akshay Kumar starrer “Airlift” stormed the box-office and now Sonam Kapoor starrer “Neerja” is making waves in terms of quality appreciation.
As we told you that the opening day collection of the movie was Rs. 4.70 crore, which was not so pretty good but it was expected that the collections would increase as the weekend proceeds and the same happened! The movie earned Rs.7.60 crore on Saturday which brings its total earnings to Rs.12.30 crore.

This is a good indication for producers as well as all those movie-makers also who want to make movies based on solid content.
“Neerja”, directed by Ram Madhwani, is based on a hijacking carried out on the Mumbai – New York, Pan Am Flight 73 and Neerja Bhanot saved 359 lives; however, lost her own. For Sonam also, this movie is a milestone as she is getting a lot of praises and applauds for her acting in the movie.
