Ranveer got the award for his mind-blowing and scintillating performance in the recent Box-Office hit, Bajirao Mastani, whereas Mastani won the trophy to play the character of an extraordinary daughter, i.e., Piku!
It’s the second award DeePee got for the Best Actress after the movie Raam Leela. And she made the evening overwhelming in such a way that no one was left untouched with what she said!
Unlike many other celebs, she read out a letter which her dad wrote to her years ago as the acceptance speech:
“If you love what you do nothing else matters, not even awards. Follow your heart and live your dream. You are our daughter and then an actress.”
Not only this, she also hugged her father which made the moment so emotional that there were tears in the eyes of audience! What’s more, she received the award from legendary Bollywood actress Rekha.
