Who would believe that 10 years have passed since the advent of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, the comedy serial, on the screen of our televisions. Each character of the serial was unique in its perspective, whether it’s the head of the family Indravardhan Sarabhai, or his wife Maya Sarabhai and their two sons, Sahil and Roshesh and Sahil’s wife Monisha. Even the supporting characters of the serial used to make us go ROFL.
Indravardhan was a typical foodie who never let go a chance to irritate his wife Maya and second son Roshesh, Maya being a highly sophisticated lady used to be satirical with her daughter-in-law Monisha, Sahil, a doctor by profession, and the most sober character of the serial and Roshesh, a poet and a theatre artist, his entry was enough to bring a smile on the face.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, the serial is 10 years old but when it started it brought a breath of relief for many viewers, especially men as the saas-bahu topic had conquered the TV screens at that time.
The second season never came of this serial but the entire cast had a reunion at Sumeet Raghavan’s house. Here are some pics of the event, watch them to relive your old memories and laugh a little:
