Delhi government’s Odd-Even formula is the hot topic for discussion nowadays, this is a step taken by the government to curb the pollution in Delhi. As per this formula, cars and bikes with odd and even number plates will be allowed on road only on alternate days, this move was welcomed by some and some criticized it but it seems that the number of supporters is more than the criticizers.
This rule is going to be imposed from January 1, 2016 and it will be on a test trial for 15 days and the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has stated that if the rule doesn’t work properly, then it will be removed. Even those who don’t support AAP and Arvind Kejriwal are supporting this move as it is high time that steps should be taken to control the level of pollution in the capital city of the country. Not to forget that the Delhi High Court has compared the city to a “gas chamber” and if we really want to give our future generations a better environment than we need to make some sacrifices.
Even the new Chief Justice of India has shown support for this step!
