Like a usual day, Nilesh Bagkar was on the jog spree, when he spotted a fully grown crocodile crawling on the beautiful Morgim beach of Goa. The sighting of the crocodile was confirmed by the forest department of Goa on Thursday.
Nilesh Bagkar uploaded the pictures on Facebook after seeing fully grown crocodiles on the beach.
The beach, 30 km from Panaji, is one of the most popular beaches in the state, especially with Russians and is colloquially referred as “Little Russia” also. It is been said that the crocodile must have surfaced from the nearby Chapora river, which flows into the sea.
“The aquatic reptile must have arrived from nearby Chapora river and not the Arabian Sea. It must have walked to the beach from Chapora river,” said Deputy conservator of Forest D N F Carvalo.
Anyone who is near the area. Be careful.
