Condition of women in India had never been good or satisfactory even if we see it from the history to this age and time. Although people claim that it’s getting better, I really don’t see any sign of improvement in view of the fact that rapes and molestation cases are increasing day by day as well as there is no dearth observed in violence and harassment towards them. At the same time, it’s utterly true that a rape victim suffers physically plus mentally, whereas the rapist gets bail and roams freely as if he has done no crime.
To what extent can it be tolerated or considered justified? Women are always discriminated taking into account periods, sometimes ridiculed and at other times, regarded impure! It is they who are blamed for giving birth to a daughter, while it’s a man who decides the gender of the child. They are asked to abort the baby if she is a girl, won’t it kill their own soul?
