Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most loved actors not just in India but across the world and recently he delivered a motivational message on handling failures during his appearance at the Global Freight Summit in Dubai.
Emphasising the importance of introspection, Shah Rukh urged everyone not to dwell on setbacks, using the film industry as an example to illustrate his point. He stressed that when a movie fails at the box office, it is often not due to a “conspiracy” but rather a failure to connect with the audience.
Shah Rukh Khan said that when a person fails, he should not believe that it is the product or service or work went wrong, he may have made a mistake in understanding the ecosystem he is catering to. SRK is of the opinion that the person needs to understand reactions of people, if his product is not able to elicit an emotion from the public, it is not going to work irrespective of how great it is.
In response to the question of being critical towards his own work, SRK accepted that he hates to feel this, he cries a lot in his bathroom and he doesn’t show it to someone else. He said that the person needs to believe that the world is not conspiring against you and the movie hasn’t worked because the world is against you but because you have made it badly.
He added that the person should not believe that things are going wrong just for him and you just can’t blame life for everything because life is doing what it has to do and it moves on.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan’s next film “King” is set to release soon. The movie will feature his daughter Suhana Khan, marking a new milestone in their careers.
