On Thursday, govt. of Aam Aadmi Party introduced the budget of Rs. 41,129 crores and it was presented by Manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister, according to him the party assigns Rs. 253 crores for Swaraj Nidhi, finances intended for inhabitants for implementing plans and ventures in colonies.

Below are the major points of “Swaraj Budget” presented by Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party:
- There will be a pilot venture for 11 constituencies and all of them will get Rs. 20 crores.
- All the districts will be provided Delhi District Urban Development Agency which will be aimed at micro-management of problems.
- Promotion of m-governance as well as e-governance will be done.
- Wi-Fi will be provided in each private college and that too, free of cost. For this, Rs. 50 crores will be reserved.
- For education, Rs. 9,836 crores have been set aside. 50 from the total 1,011 schools will be cultivated as model schools.
- There will be special training programmes aimed at teachers.
- Appointment of 20K new teachers will be carried out. Not only this, installation of CCTVs in each class of govt. schools will also be done. This step will be taken for making teachers more responsible.
- Kids who are from colonies will be provided govt. school playgrounds. Besides, the party would be strict towards the private schools which will be seen working with transparency.
- For making private schools more responsible, there will be a provision of making amendment. There is also a plan of a ‘skill university’ for making the city a hub of wisdom and talent.
- There is also a plan of commencing diploma courses in all the govt. polytechnic colleges. In addition, candidates will be provided 100 more seats.
- As far as health is concerned, Rs. 4,787 crores to be set aside in addition to opening a thousand neighborhood clinics. Of these, 500 worth Rs. 125 crores are to be done this year.
- In the direction of public transport, there is a proposal for having integrated fare and the similar will be for study.
- For transport, the assigned amount is Rs. 5,085 crores. Moreover, there will be 500 mini buses, 1,000 cluster buses as well as 1,380 low-floor buses by the last month of 2016. Additionally, Delhi will have 1,200 new bus shelters.
- Taking into consideration the safety of girls and women, installation of CCTV cameras in each cluster as well as DTC bus is scheduled.
- As regards social welfare plans, Rs. 927 crores are allocated. Also govt. would give Rs. 1 crore to the families of civil defense staff, home guard and police dying on duty.
- Tax will be imposed on vehicles which increase pollution.
- There will be an augmented tax on cinema as well as cable TV. Also there will be an increase in luxury tax.
