After the match, during the presentation when Shubman Gill was asked about the defeat in the first match and the comeback that the Indian team made, he said that he thinks that the hunger which his team showed after losing the first T20I was just great. He added that when they came to Zimbabwe, not everyone had good amount of hits in the nets and they were not used to these conditions but they adapted well.
The young Indian cricketer Washington Sundar was adjudged as the Player of the Series and he stated that extra speed and extra bounce was similar to South Africa and that is what took the Indian batters by surprise in the first match. He added that it is really good to finish with a win and they are going with lots of takeaways, learning and confidence for the Sri Lankan tour from here.
