Every year Bollywood comes up with many movies but only few manage to impress the audiences. Moreover, there is no denying the fact that content plays an important role in making a movie hit and this is why it is being said that “content is the king”.
Some really great writers have worked in Bollywood but the writer duo Salim-Javed will always stand apart from all other writers as the movies that they have written have become blockbusters at the box-office.
The pair of Salim-Javed has given us blockbusters such as “Deewar”, “Zanjeer”, “Sholay”, “Don”, etc. but after working together for more than 12 years, they decided to part ways which broke hearts of their fans as they are counted amongst the greatest screenwriters of Hindi Cinema.
Recently Javed Akhtar’s wife Shabana Azmi who is also a famous actress of the Indian film industry appeared in the podcast of Salim Khan’s son Arbaaz Khan and when she was asked to comment on the reason behind the split of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, she said that till the date, she doesn’t know the reason behind their split.
Shabana Azmi also talked about Javed Akhtar’s alcoholism and said that it was really difficult to handle. Shabana is the second wife of Javed Akhtar and earlier he was married to Honey Irani.
Shabana also praised Honey for acting maturely; she was bitter in the beginning but later on, she acted maturely and always allowed their kids Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar to meet Javed and her (Shabana).
Shabana Azmi credits Honey Irani for the healthy relationship that now all of them share in the present times.
