Pad Man hit the screens on the 9th of February and we can’t deny that Akshay Kumar & Sonam Kapoor have delivered an amazing performance. Pad Man has a good advantage because there are no other major releases with it; it is enjoying all the business alone!
It got a good start i.e. 10 crores, however, it showed a good growth on Saturday. The 2nd day collections were 13.68 crores, which is not at all bad. Although it couldn’t match the collections of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, we are happy that it is earning in double digits.
The theme of the movie is hatke & is quite relevant to our society. On the 3rd day i.e. Sunday, collections were expected to increase even further.
As per Box Office India reports, the film has earned a whopping 16 crores (Early estimates) on the 3rd day. With this the total has become 39.94 crores. Even trade expert Ramesh Bala tweeted the same..

We thought that the movie will cross 50 crores on the first weekend itself, but sadly, it still needs 10 crores for that. The collections of the film are good considering the fact that it has been released in 2750 screens.
Day 1 – 10.26 crores
Day 2 – 13.68 crores
Day 3 – 16 crores
Total – 39.94 crores
