During the summer season when the temperature is too high, some Indian men prefer to wear lungi which can be described as a long cloth wrapped around the waist.
It is easy to wear and it also facilitates ventilation in the lower part of the body. The best part is that the cost of lungi is also not too high and even poor people can afford it.
However, if you feel that lungi is not fashionable, let us tell you that Zara, a Galician fast fashion retailer, has been impressed by lungi so much that it has added it in the dresses sold by it. Instead of men’s section, it has been included in the list of women’s skirt section.
But what is shocking is that Zara is selling it at an exorbitant price of 69.99 British pounds (INR 6200 approx). Zara described lungi as “Flowing skirt with draped detail in the front. Front slit detail at the hem. Zip fastening in the back hidden along the seam.”
