Finally, Virat Kohli started playing matches after a long wedding break. Today, India played the first test match against South Africa in Cape Town.
This match must have been a different experience for Kohli as he had his wife cheering for him in the stands. No doubt, Anushka is the biggest support system for Kohli!
Along with Anushka, even Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rohit Sharma’s wives Aesha, Nupur and Ritika were there to cheer them up.
South Africa after winning the toss, chose to bat first. We saw an extraordinary spell of swing bowling from B Kumar that helped India in taking first 3 wickets of South Africa at just 12 runs. AB de Villiers & Faf’s 50 helped South Africa in reaching respectable total. South Africa got all out on 1st day itself at 286 runs.
India in turn lost 3 quick wickets of Murali Vijay, Dhawan & Kohli and at the end of Day 1 India were 28/3 trailing by 258 runs.
However, we were sad to see Kohli getting out on 5 runs. Usually, he’s the one who treats us with centuries, but guess he couldn’t live up to the expectations of fans this time. Twitter trolled him left and right since he scored just few runs. They blamed Anushka Bhabi for the same. Some felt that he’s still in the honeymoon period.
