Internet is the best rumor garden. Every now and then, we come across rumors about celebrities, cricketers and other important personalities. Looks as if media has got the freedom to report whatever it wants to.
Most of the news reports go online without the facts being verified. This is indeed very harmful for the readers as most of them believe in whatever is shown to them.
Recent news doing the rounds of the internet was about Zareen Khan marrying former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi. Well, Shahid Afridi foundation had conducted a charity match and Zareen Khan was the brand ambassador of Pakhtoons team.
Since Zareen and Shahid Afridi were seen together, media started reporting about their marriage. Earlier too, the duo was seen together couple of times, but does this mean that marriage is on the cards?
Many stories started cooking up & Zareen couldn’t take them anymore. She took to Twitter and clarified all this. Well, she said that Afridi is a complete gentleman and that there is no such thing between them. This is what she tweeted;
Came across a senseless post thts doin rounds on social media abt @SAfridiOfficial n me.
He is a complete family man and a true gentleman.
I wud request ppl not to pay heed to fake news and encourage such stupidity. #Shame #CheckFacts #GetALife— Zareen Khan (@zareen_khan) December 22, 2017
The tweet read, “Came across a senseless post thts doin rounds on social media abt @SAfridiOfficial n me. He is a complete family man and a true gentleman. I wud request ppl not to pay heed to fake news and encourage such stupidity. #Shame #CheckFacts #GetALife”
However, Zareen admitted that he was his childhood crush. She said,
“I have been a fan of Afridi from the very first day he had played his match, I think he was 16 and scored 100 runs on 32 or 35 balls”
Media should be very careful while reporting these things, don’t you feel so?
