Manushi Chhillar made India proud by bagging the Miss World crown for the country after 17 years. She remained in talks for long and now it’s time for Miss Universe.
The prestigious title was bagged recently by a South African contestant named Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
The 22-year-old beauty wants to contribute in settling down the big problem of HIV/AIDS in her country. Talking about it she said-
“HIV/AIDS is a very big problem in my country South Africa, so I hope to stand as an advocate for that.”
Apart from that the new Miss Universe is also in news for the spectacular answer she gave to the ultimate question of Miss Universe.
She was asked, “What quality in yourself are you most proud of. And how will you apply that quality to your time as Miss Universe?”
She answered-
“As Miss Universe you have to be confident in who you are as an individual. And Miss Universe is a woman that has overcomed many fears. And by that she is able to help other women overcome their fears. She is a woman that nothing is ever too much is asked for and that’s exactly who I am.”
