Twinkle Khanna has always given her opinions on various socially important issues. In fact, she is very active on Twitter and never fails to entertain her fans with her funny & witty tweets. At times, she receives a lot of backlash for speaking openly on certain issues; well, she focuses on equality and feminism but not all her tweets go down well with people.

Once again, Twinkle got trolled today for her tweet on Karwa Chauth. She tweeted that husbands get long life not due to wives fasting for them but due to other scientific reasons.
Twinkle is against age-old traditions and hence, she tweeted against Karwa Chauth, though indirectly. Her sarcastic tweet garnered lot of attention and she was massively trolled for her thoughts.
Here’s what she tweeted;
Scientists studying longest living mammals,bowhead whales found for a long life what is needed is a slow metabolism & not wives who fast:)
— Twinkle Khanna (@mrsfunnybones) October 8, 2017
The tweet read, “Scientists studying longest living mammals,bowhead whales found for a long life what is needed is a slow metabolism & not wives who fast:)”
She didn’t use the word “Karwa Chauth” anywhere but her tweet was well understood. This is how people slammed her.
What’s wrong with it?

What do you have to say about this? Well, she didn’t insult the tradition but just gave her opinion. What’s wrong in that?
