Cold drinks have remained a great part of our eating lifestyle for many years now. From eating a samosa to a full-size pizza, one always needs a bottle of cold drink to enjoy it to the fullest.
Though the manufacturing quality of cold drinks has always been debatable the consumers have remained loyal to it. Film and cricket stars too have shown their complete enthusiasm in endorsing it over the years.
However, Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli who has been associated since last 6 years with one of the leading cold drink brands Pepsi has now decided to stop endorsing it. Virat who has just completed his contract with the company is disinterested to continue as he doesn’t relate to it anymore. The company, however, is still keen to sign him again.
In an interview with CNN-IBN, Kohli said-
“When I started my fitness turnaround, it was more of a lifestyle thing initially. If something goes away from that, I would not want to be a part of that or be promoting that,”
He further added-
“We are actually on the cusp of making some big changes on that front. Things that I’ve endorsed in the past, I won’t take names, but something that I feel that I don’t connect to anymore. If I myself won’t consume such things, I won’t urge others to consume it just because I’m getting money out of it.”
Meanwhile, Virat and team will be playing the first match of the Champions Trophy 2017 today against Pakistan. The match is carrying huge excitement among fans who want Team India to win in any case.
We wish all the luck and victory for Men In Blue.
