Couple of days back, there was news that Narendra Modi banned the use of mobile phones in his cabinet meetings; he said that social media is not for self promotion. Modi was of the opinion that social media must be used only for welfare of citizens and not for wrong reasons.
However, if you don’t know the fact, Modi himself is quite active on social media platforms and enjoys millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter. Now, Rahul Gandhi took note of this point and trolled Modi by tweeting;
Leading by example is clearly overrated https://t.co/EZa4cjp04n
— Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) April 22, 2017
His tweet read, “Leading by example is clearly overrated”
This was in response to Modi’s statement “Don’t use social media for self-promotion or spend too much time online read.”
Obviously, trolls were expected on this tweet of Rahul Gandhi, but amidst this came the most unexpected one by Smriti Irani.
Since RaGa used the term “Overrated”, Smriti took a dig at him with this tweet;
Look who is talking about being over rated 🙂 https://t.co/5bOpFHTMj0
— Smriti Z Irani (Modi Ka Parivar) (@smritiirani) April 22, 2017
The tweet read, “Look who is talking about being over rated :-)”. War of words between Smriti and Gandhi is quite common, however, this one was surprising.
