Sonu Nigam gained the topmost position on Twitter’s trending charts after questioning the “Azaan” and using the word “Gundagardi” for it; social media users started fuming with anger as they couldn’t tolerate the way he spoke against the community.
Some didn’t realize that Sonu had not only complained about the mosques but had also mentioned about gurudwaras and temples in his post. It gave rise to a heated debate on Twitter and many hit out at Sonu for being so insensitive towards religion.
There were some who supported his views against forced religiousness and tweeted in favor of him. His statements triggered mixed reactions i.e. for and against and there was no end to those discussions.
Celebrities reminded Sonu that he had crossed the line this time; Pooja Bhatt was one of those celebrities who sly tweeted against him.
Her tweet made sense; check it out…

It read, “I wake each morning to the sound of church bells & the Azaan in a quiet by-lane of Bandra.I light an aggarbatti & salute the spirit of India”.
She tried to counter Sonu’s views with 1 tweet and explained how she’s in love with the spirit of India; Pooja indirectly meant that Sonu should stop complaining and start enjoying it. Her tweet got positive responses; check out what users had to say…

Sonu’s posts have already drawn enough flak on Twitter. Next time, he’ll have to be careful with his tweets else Twitter users will get a chance to boycott him.
