These days, physical relations before marriage are very common. Many couples enjoy this pleasurable act, but often forget to take the necessary protection, which in turn lands them into deep mess. On the other hand, there are some guys, who force girls even though they aren’t ready for it. In other words, it is called SEXUAL ASSAULT!
Something similar happened with this couple too; well, Yerwada police has arrested a 21 year old man named Akshay Manoj Jaisinghani, because he sexually abused a woman from Dubai, who had come down to Pune’s Deccan College for her further studies. They were involved in a relation since very long, but there came an unfavorable episode which ended everything.
What happened was that the girl was forced for s3x and she got pregnant; when she revealed it to her BF, he started treating her very badly. The man literally tried giving her abortion pills instead of making a visit to a good doctor, just because he wasn’t ready to take any responsibility.
How it all happened?
The couple had met through mutual friends. Akshay would always insist her to meet and many a times, they would hang out too. During one such meeting, Akshay invited her to his apartment, wherein he sexually abused her.
Even after this, they kept talking and meeting each other. However, one fine day, the girl realized she is pregnant and informed Akshay. Seema Dhakne, the investigator of the case said
“Upon informing him, he took it lightly and told her that he will give her some pills which will terminate the pregnancy. He did not take her to any doctor, but he himself brought her the pills and demanded that she have them. She trusted his instinct and consumed the medicine with the hope of ending her pregnancy.”
She took medications for few weeks and then flew back to Dubai. Few weeks later, she realized that the pregnancy hasn’t ended yet. On approaching Akshay, he started avoiding her and refused to take her responsibility. This is when she filed a complaint against Akshay.
Akshay was in police custody, because various charges were filed against him. These included section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), section 376 for rape and section 506 for criminal intimidation. He applied for an anticipatory bail in Sessions Court, but it got rejected.
After rejection, he moved to Bombay High Court, wherein the bail was granted. This was totally wrong on the guy’s part, don’t you think so? He had 2 options; either to not assault her else take her complete responsibility. What’s your view on this? Do share in our comments section below.
