Everyone who watched Aamir Khan’s “Dangal” was awe-struck by the performance of Zaira Wasim, who played the younger Geeta Phogat in the movie. Zaira got a lot of appreciation for her acting skills but nowadays she is in headlines due to some wrong reasons.
The 16 years old girl from Kashmir was criticized heavily for meeting Mehbooba Mufti, the CM of Jammu & Kashmir. The pressure was so immense on her that she was forced to make an apology which she wrote on her Facebook wall.
However, she deleted it soon but got the support from all the corners, especially from Bollywood and even Aamir Khan cited that he stood with the little actress.
Now the first Kashmiri who topped the IAS, Shah Faesal, has written a post on this matter; however, he has not taken Zaira’s name but it is clearly understood about whom he is talking.
He has asked people not to share their child’s achievements with anyone as you don’t know when you need to be apologetic later on.
Here is his Facebook post which has gone viral for all the right reasons:
“In older days in Kashmir, if your hen laid an egg, we would say, ‘wuna kansi wanakh’ -don’t tell anyone. Our ancestors were wise. And time has come to go back to those quiet times when no one knew about his neighbour even.
So if your child is doing well, keep it to yourselves. My advice is that don’t tell anyone at all. She might have to be apologetic for her achievement.”
Zaira wrote in her apology post, “I know that many people have been offended and displeased by my recent actions or by the people I have recently met. I do not want anyone to follow in my footsteps.”
