The war-of-words between Sehwag and Piers Morgan is not new and every time they talk to each other, they trend for days together. If you remember, Piers had taken a dig at Sehwag during Rio Olympics and said that in spite of India having a huge population, not even a single gold medal could be secured, on which Viru Paaji replied in his epic style that in spite of cricket originating in England, the team couldn’t win a single world cup.
Such is the rivalry between the duo; for them words and taunts do all the magic. However, they finally decided to end this enmity on the last day of 2016. They exchanged tweets on the 31st of December, but this time, the tone was quite different.
There were many occasions wherein Piers tried hard to provoke Sehwag but failed to do so. On 31st of December, Sehwag just couldn’t avoid giving him a response.
Sehwag took to his favorite Twitter and indulged in a small New Year celebration with fans. He requested them to share their best moments with him in 2016 and as expected, the fans flooded his wall with memories. Little did he expect that even Piers Morgan would be in the list.
Here’s Sehwag’s tweet…
Tweet the best moments you had with me this year. How did I contribute to joy in your life ?

Within few moments of tweeting this, Sehwag got an unexpected reply from Piers Morgan; have a look at his tweet…
You got me trending in India for days & 1000s of new followers. Thanks mate. https://t.co/yc4bhL1Hwc

This time, Sehwag didn’t want to indulge into any sort of fight; instead of ignoring him, he preferred giving him a very sweet and casual reply. But one thing was clearly seen; he couldn’t stop praising India in his tweet.
So here’s the reply by Sehwag
Cheers! India has a big heart .
Enjoy ! https://t.co/BEwgLQj3N8— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) December 31, 2016
