The grandson of legendary singer Mukesh, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh got engaged to the Mumbai-based Rukmini Sahay on Tuesday. The engagement ceremony took place on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera at a Juhu hotel. The event was attended by the family and close friends.
This is an arranged marriage, both the families know each other very well. The couple is set to tie the knot next year. While Neil Nitin Mukesh is a popular Bollywood actor, Rukmini Sahay works in the aviation industry. Nitin Mukesh, father of actor Neil, said in a statement,
Neil is quite old school in his ways and is a firm believer in the traditional school of thought when it comes to the sacred institution of marriage. He left the decision of finding his soulmate in his parents’ trusted hands and there couldn’t have been a better match for him than Rukmini.

For the engagement, Neil, was seen wearing a black sherwani, while Rukmini, flaunted a traditional look in pink and blue heavily embellished lehenga. The photos of the engagement ceremony have emerged on the social media like Instagram and Facebook. According to a source, Neil and Rukmini were in a courtship for a month.
Earlier Neil was involved in a minor controversy when he made the statement that his mother wants to date him in her next life. He gave a statement to the Press Trust of India, he said,
I am the most romantic person probably in the world. I enjoy doing grey characters because in personal life I am totally opposite. My mom once told me that she wants to be born as my girlfriend in the next birth because she sees me how I am, I am extremely expressive and she loves me for that.Without love, I feel lost.
Neil has appeared in the popular films like “Johnny Gaddaar”, “New York”, “David”, “7 Khoon Maaf” and “Wazir”.
