The list of top universities, engineering, pharmacy and management colleges has been released. The ‘India Ranking Report 2016’ is one of its kind initiatives from the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry. In the global rankings, Indian universities are not meeting the par standard and hence this primitive structure for higher education has been executed.
The National Bureau of Accreditation (NBA) has ranked 3,500 institutions, public and private both on five predefined criteria – graduation outcome, teaching and learning, inclusivity and outreach, research professional practice and collabarative performance and perception. All the participated institutions were distinguished on self disclosure agreement.
IIT Madras Ranked Number One
All the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) secured their ranking in top 10 engineering colleges with IIT Madras ranked at top with a score of 89.42 and IIT Bombay, second with a weighted score of 87.67.
