The Neeraj Pandey directed biopic, ‘M.S. Dhoni-The Untold Story’ is true to its title and tells us many untold stories about Indian captain Dhoni. Now, one of them is the captain’s love story. Guess what, Dhoni’s love life with his 1st love wasn’t good.
Now, as per reports, it is said that when Dhoni was in his 20s, he had a dream to secure a place in the Indian Cricket Team. During this time, the captain fell in love with a girl named Priyanka Jha. He felt that Priyanka was the one with whom he wishes to spend his entire life with.
However, by this time, he was doing quite well on field as well particularly in the ODI. Yes, Dhoni was selected for ‘India A’ squad for a tour to Kenya and Zimbabwe in the year 2003-2004. In the Trination tournament with Pakistan and Kenya, Dhoni helped ‘India A’ chase a score of 223, by scoring a half century. He kept hitting centuries and eventually scored 362 runs in 6 innings i.e. an average of 72.40. Now, this caught the eye of Ravi Shastri and Sourav Ganguly.
While he kept earning fame on field, a tragic incident gripped him. Priyanka lost her life in an accident and after this Dhoni was quite shattered. He mourned for an year, but eventually started gaining strength and worked towards rising success. Once again, MS Dhoni was in the team to prove his performance.
Now, after this incident, Dhoni didn’t look back even once and continued his journey towards success. He also broke the records of highest score by Indian Wicketkeeper, by scoring 148 of 123 balls in the 2nd match of ODI series against Pakistan in 2004-2005. Now, even though he found love in Sakshi Singh Rawat (His wife), he couldn’t forget his 1st love. Dhoni and Sakshi got married on the 4th of July 2010. Kiara Advani plays the role of Sakshi in this biopic.
As per reports, “Neeraj Pandey had taken Dhoni’s consent to incorporate this track in the film as this girl’s entry and exit marked a turning point in his life. And after some deliberation, he agreed that this important chapter in his life needed to be told to the world.”
So, get ready to watch many untold stories about Dhoni in this biopic which is all set to hit the screens on the 30th of September.
