Match fixing is common in the world of cricket; but the recent case will leave you in utter disbelief. Yes, a recent match fixing case has been highlighted in the UAE’s All Time Ajman League and ICC’s Anti-corruption squad is going to investigate the matter thoroughly.
Few clips from the match went viral and we were shocked to see how predicted the batting looked. This was a T20 league and in the 4th match that was played between Sharjah Warriors and Dubai Stars, we got to see shocking dismissals and some very weird run outs.
Sharjah Warriors’s score was 136 runs in 20 overs; when it was Dubai Stars’ turn, they could score just 46. The way they gave away wickets was simply unbelievable. There were 4 runouts and 5 stumpings, which added to the disbelief.
The way the batsmen got out showed that they were doing it on purpose. All the matches at Ajmal Oval have been suspended now.
It is said that this match wasn’t sanctioned by ECB i.e. Emirates Cricket Board. Final details will be out after the investigation is over.
Have a look at the clip till then;
