It may look like a scene from a Hindi movie but the truth is that this incident actually took place in reality and it just showcased the negligent attitude of 4 cops of Amritsar police.
Two prisoners named Gurbhej Singh and Manohar Kumar were taken from Kapurthala jail to district courts for appearing in the hearing of their cases. While returning to the jail, on the way, the police officers stopped for lunch at a restaurant and ordered juices. Somehow these two prisoners mixed some intoxicant in the juices, after drinking which the officers laid unconscious and the prisoners escaped.
The good part was that the Amritsar police immediately got into action and caught Manohar Kumar, however, the other one Gurbhej Singh is still out of police’s reach.
Mahinder Singh, Samuel Masih, Vijay Kumar and Janak Raj are the four cops who have been charged with the negligence of duty and presently are getting treated in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital.
