1. Beer Can Regatta
This is an annual boat race which is held in Mindil Beach in Darwin, Australia. The interesting and unusual rule of the game is that the boat should float on water just depending on the cans and nothing else is permitted. Tipanic is the name of the boat which won this year.
2. Cheese Rolling
This is a traditional event in Britain and it is conducted every year, in this game the player has to throw himself down from a hill to find a wheel of cheese. The present champion of this game is Chris Anderson.
3. Chess Boxing
Chess is a game of brain and boxing need force, so chess boxing is a combination of both and a player needs both brain and force to win it, there are 11 rounds in the game. The ruling world champion is Armenia’s Dymer Agasryan in middleweight category.
4. Dog Surfing
A dog surfing contest by the name of Surf City Surf Dog is conducted every fall since 2009 at the Huntington Beach in California. The winners of last year competition were Kihei, Brandy, Kalani, Kona Kai, Sugar and Bono.

Gurning is taking place in Britain for more than 700 years now and in this sport, that contestant wins who pulls the most contorted face. Tommy Mattinson has won the championship 15 times continuously since the year 2000.
7. Hot Dog Eating Champion
If you are under the assumption that this is going to be an easy task for you as you love hot dogs, so let me warn you by telling you that the record of 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes has been made by Joey Chesnut in 2013.
8. International Cherry Pit-Spitting Championships
It started in 1974 in order to mark the celebration of local cherry harvest, it is held in Michigan, USA and winner of 2014 was Brian “Young Gun” Krause, whose family has won 26 titles out of 41 since the event has started.
9. Man Versus Horse Marathon
Since 1980, this unusual game is being played in Wales in which man and woman have to race against horses and their riders on a track of over 22 miles (35 Km) which includes ridges and streams. It may seem a one sided game as horses are faster than human but point to be noted is that horses are also not very quick at descending hills. This year’s winner was Leo, a horse whose rider was Geoff Allen.
10. Nettle Eating World Championships
In this strange competition which is held in Dorset, Marshwood, the contestants gulp down the spiky nettle stalks and leaves in the time frame of one hour. The winner of 2015 was Simon Sleigh of Forkchurch, Dorset.
11. LGBT Pride High-Heels Race
This race takes place in Madrid every year and the heels should be at least 10 cm or more. Winner of 2015 was Jason from Peru.
12. Quidditch World Cup
It is a sport which is somewhat similar to basketball, rugby and dodgeball where the players need to keep brooms in between their legs all the time while playing the game. The current world champion is the team of University of Texas.
13. Street Luge
The participants of Street Luge can reach to the speed of 97.5 miles/h (157km/h) same as the participants of Winter Olympics do. Presently, Brazilian Denis Araugo and Spanish national Mikel Echegaray hold the world title, jointly.
14. Toe Wrestling
Toe wrestling involves two players locking each other’s toes and bringing other player’s foot down. The present champion of this game is Britain’s Alan “Nasty” Nash.
15. Underwater Kissing Championship
Everyone wants to participate in this game, isn’t it? Contestants need to hold their breath and get engaged in a lip-lock with their partners. Champions of this year, Xu Jun and Zhang Wenqing from Shangai kept their lips locked for one minute and 20 seconds.
16. Wife Carrying Competition
This game started in Finland where a husband carries his wife in the competition and the winner get beer equivalent to the weight of their partner. The last year winners were Ville Parviainen and Janette Oksman, the Finnish couple.
17. World Beard & Moustache Championships
Growing beard and moustache in strange shapes and styles is a required criterion for the players of World Beard and Moustache Championships. The winner of 2014 championship is Madison Rowley from Portland, Oregon.
