Bollywood is obsessed with sequels and this obsession has increased by leaps and bounds in past decade. Whenever a filmmaker makes a successful film, the team immediately announces its sequel and most of the times they end up disappointing.
But that doesn’t mean every sequel is bad. We have seen sequels of films like Ek Tha Tiger, Fukrey, Golmaal, Jolly LLB, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania last which were amazing and proved to be huge Hits.
Just like some of the sequels that people really loved, there are Bollywood films which really deserve a sequel but they are not made yet.
Here is a list of 10 Bollywood film sequels we are desperately waiting for.
1. Ghajini
Ghajini starring Aamir Khan and Asin was a huge Blockbuster and Bollywood’s 1st 100 crores grosser. The film’s story line had a deep connect with the audience. If a sequel of film is ever made it will surely repeat the success.
2. Rockstar
Rockstar had a heartwrenching ending and that’s what worked big time for the film and made it one of the most memorable romantic film of our times. A sequel to Imtiaz film is well deserved.
3. Udaan
Udaan ends with the central character running from the house with his half brother. It would be exciting to see what happened with them after that.
4. Rocket Singh
Rocket Singh was an interesting but a film made before its time. It was a Box Office dud but if a sequel of film is made today, it will work well.
5. PK
PK ends as Aamir Khan’s character brings Ranbir Kapoor’s character on Earth. It would be really interesting to see both of them having fun on Earth together in the sequel.
6. Andaaz Apna Apna
Now this is one of the most talked about films and everyone is waiting for its sequel. If it even releases today, it will take earth shattering opening.
7. Dil Chahta Hai
Dil Chahta Hai starring Aamir Khan, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna has a cult following. It’s sequel is also much awaited.
8. Mr India
Anil Kapoor and Sridevi starrer Mr India was a monstrous Hit. There are many people who want to see it’s sequel.
9. Hera Pheri
Hera Pheri’s 3rd part was being made but it got shelved due to some unfavorable circumstances. Hera Pheri sequel is also among the most awaited sequels ever.
10. Hum Aapke Hain Koun
In Hum Aapke Hain Koun sequel we would want to see the son/daughter of Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s character finding his/her love. A modernized family drama will be icing on the cake.
